Education for Ministry (EfM) Sign-Ups
Have you wanted to learn more about the Bible and the history of Christianity? Have you wondered about your own personal theology, and how it fits in with what you do with your life? Then EfM may be for you.
Education for Ministry (EfM) is a unique four-year distance learning certificate program in theological education through Sewanee College. It is based upon small-group study and practice. Since its founding in 1975, this international program has assisted more than 100,000 participants in discovering and nurturing their call to Christian service. EfM helps the faithful encounter the breadth and depth of the Christian tradition and brings it into conversation with personal experiences of the world through study, worship, and theological reflection.
The EfM program is set up so that all share in the learning, no matter what year they are studying:
Year One: The Hebrew Bible (Old Testament)
Year Two: New Testament
Year Three: Church History
Year Four: Theology, Ethics, and Interfaith Encounter.
The group at St. Clement’s welcomes anyone from throughout our Capitol Deanery, or even other churches. Sharon Burke-Polana and Guido Polana are our most recent graduates, and we welcome newcomers to share in this wonderful learning experience!

Sunday School
Since we are not meeting in person, our Sunday School teachers have been mailing Church activities to the children’s homes so they can continue to work on their Christian Education.
Our Children’s Sunday School is aimed at elementary grades in a one-room school-house style environment. Miss Muriel and Miss Sharon are dedicated teachers who love helping the children learn stories, songs and traditions as they grow in their relationship with Jesus.
