50 Blessing Bags for Thanksgiving!

“…remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, for he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive. ‘”

For our Thanksgiving Outreach, St. Clement’s will be creating Blessing Bags for the homeless in our community.  These will be a bit of a change-up from bags that we have donated in the past. Toni Morgan, the new Navigator for the Homeless Assistance Resource Team (HART), has provided a list of items that would be useful in the bags. We are starting a collection for these items, which will continue from now until November 14. You may bring items to church and leave them in the designated space (separate from the People’s Pantry wagon) in the narthex. If you would like, you may also donate to the St. Clement’s HART fund through Realm or by check—just be sure to write HART on your check. Any donated funds will be used to purchase whatever is needed to supplement the donated items. It would be terrific if we could fill 50 bags!

Also, please mark your calendars for Sunday, November 21!  After church that day we will gather as a congregation for our November Social, and we will all put the donated items into individual bags (pandemic protocols will be observed.) They will then be delivered to Toni Morgan, the HART navigator, for distribution that week.

If you have any questions, please contact Laura Simkins.
