Our Staff

The Rev. Anne Sutherland Clarke

Hello! My name is Rev. Anne, and I am the Lifelong Christian Formation Coordinator for the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California. I am so thrilled to be joining you at St. Clement’s for a few months, to learn and grow and worship with you all. I will be joining you for worship most Sundays through Pentecost Sunday, and leading adult formation (our first program together will be on Wednesday evenings during Lent- I hope you’ll join in!).

In my work for the diocese, which I have been doing since 2015, I consult with congregations on Christian formation for all ages, lead diocesan youth events and leadership development events for people of all ages, and help to build partnerships and opportunities for collaboration among congregations. I graduated from Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley in 2015, with a Master of Divinity and a MA focusing on Faith Formation in the area of Religion and Society. Before moving to Sacramento in 2015, I was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Benicia for three years, where I served as the coordinator of the Abraham Path interfaith project and as the Youth and Family Ministries Coordinator. Originally from Northwest Indiana, both I and my spouse Myles (who is a currently member of St. Martin’s in Davis) lived in Los Angeles for several years before coming to Northern California. Before seminary, I worked as a teacher, tutor and communications staff person at St. John's Episcopal Cathedral in Los Angeles.
