“To love as Jesus loves, to love as he commands us to love cannot be based on our opinions. It cannot be based on our prejudices. It cannot be based on our feelings of justice or even fairness at any given time… It is unconditional, It includes everyone. It excludes, no one! And if it sounds impossible… Well, it is. We would do well to remember that the last person that successfully loved in this way was betrayed, mocked, beaten, and crucified…”
