Todays sermon is titled “Let’s Give Adam and Eve Another Chance” and is by Fr. Kenn Katona+ here at Saint Clement’s Episcopal Church!

It’s the same thing in our lives today, and it’s the same thing in our gospel lesson. “Do you want to be made well?” Well, I have no one to put me in the pool… But do you want to be made well??? But Jesus, these lines are terrible, have you seen these lines??? “But do you want to be made well??? “All of these other people are faster than me and they cut in line…” And yet Jesus is standing there… compassion in his eyes. Waiting for us to fall silent so he can say “Take up your mat and walk… And what a journey it will be… Now, quick side bar, there are times and there are systems, where people are oppressed, and kept down, and exploited, and abused by others… That’s not what I’m talking about here… What I am talking about is an inability to see Jesus when he’s right in front of us… What I am talking about here is our need to simply say yes to Jesus when he asks us if we want to be made well…
