Dear Fellow Parishioners,
Greetings from your Vestry!
We are writing to you regarding the 2021 Stewardship Campaign. St. Clement’s is a healthy, growing parish, which is reflected in our 2021 Stewardship theme: “Grounded in Faith and Growing to Serve”. Even in this year of COVID-19, we have expanded our church worship services and created new ways to serve the community. Your pledge this year will help us to plan a budget that meets the needs of our church in 2021. We ask you to prayerfully consider pledging to support our church, its programs, payroll and building upkeep.
“Grounded in Faith” is at the heart of who we are as Episcopalians and Christians. The pandemic brought challenges. Through Fr. Kenn’s leadership, we offered multiple virtual worship services including weekday Morning Prayer and Evening Compline. Because we are “Grounded in Faith”, God has kept us moving forward. We have adopted new ways of worship to continue building love and connection to our community as well as to others across the globe. The internet has allowed us to reach many more people to share the Word of God. Parishioners have gladly shared their gifts virtually as readers, lay leaders, technicians, and musicians to enrich our online services. We have added Book Clubs and Bible Study to keep us engaged during this difficult time.
“Growing to Serve” is at the heart of our outreach ministries to the community and our pastoral care. We reached out through a variety of programs to help victims of COVID-19, victims of the recent fires, and helped to feed the hungry. Through our Veteran Ministry with 4 Paws 2 Freedom we have helped disabled veterans get service dogs. The St. Clement’s Care program and the Vestry pastoral phone calls have kept us connected as a congregation.
“Growing to Serve” involves continued and increased pledged contributions that will make it possible to attract a new, permanent priest and to continue the work we’ve been doing. Because of the increased costs of hiring a new priest we ask you to prayerfully consider a 5% increase in your pledge for 2021.
Enclosed is the 2021 Pledge Card and return envelope. Please fill it out and mail it by November 25, 2020 to:
St. Clement’s Church, 2376 Zinfandel Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670.
Thank you for supporting St. Clement’s Church; may God bless you and your families.
